Quick Setup Guide
Decklink
version:
Install the application and check if it starts OK.
If not, send us the "Console.log" file and ask for
assistance.
Once the
application is started, go into the Capture Settings and
set them as follows:
1.
Destination
Choose the
destination folders of your reference and/or self contained
movies (for more information on that, check the
UsersManual.
2. Video Settings
2.1.
Compression:
Video Format Supported (PAL
and NTSC): DV, Apple ProRes, DVCPRO 25/50, IMX
30/40/50,Uncompressed SD 8bit/10bit.
HD Video Format Supported (PAL and NTSC): Apple ProRes,
DVCPRO HD, Uncompressed HD

Source:
Choose the Source of your video Stream. You'll be able to
choose between your 2 decklink cards here, or a FireWire
interface, or allmost any incoming Video stream.
2. Audio
Settings
!!!! Even if MovieRecorder lets you do it , do
NOT
set more than 2 channels per
Audio Track. So if you want to record 4 channels, you have
to create 2 audio Track and send the Channels 1&2 to
Track 1 and the Channels 3&4 to Track 2. You can create
up to 7 Audio Tracks.
Audio
Format Supported : Linear PCM, 16 bit, Stereo, Big Endian
!! Beware! Only the above audio format is
supported. All other format will cause some erratical
behavior!
The best thing to do before
using a codec is allways to do testing before. Beware that
MovieRecorder DV will only record DV with a FireWire
interface. Only the PCI version with a proper PCI video
card will encode in multiple codecs.
DV converter
version:
• Install the application and check if it
starts OK. If not, send us the "Console.log" file and
ask for
assistance.
• Make sure your DV device is connected. If the
User Interface of MovieRecorder DV shows up, it means your
camera is properly connected. If not, verify the
connections.
• Once the application is started, go into the
Capture Settings and set the destinations Folder of your
recordings.
• Click on the "Record"
button.
