MovieRecorder DV captures video using a Firewire Converter. It records only in DV, but it can ingest several inputs simultaneously on the same workstation, even on laptops. Video clips captured using MovieRecorder can be edited during the actual ingest, making it very handy for live sports editing. Additionaly you can schedule your recordings. Designed specifically to work for live ingest, MovieRecorder DV will work with cameras, tape decks and live feeds.
ABOUT THE PRO OPTION:
The Pro option is only available for MovieRecorder PCI
HOW MANY LICENSES DO YOU NEED?
One license of MovieRecorder DV has bundled a multichannel option in it without additional cost. You will be able to connect multiple DV decks (2 per FireWire BUS) and to record from them from one single application. (MovieRecorder PCI requires one license per channel)
SERIAL NUMBER OR DONGLE ?
By default, when ordering a license, you will receive a Serial Number by email that will require an activation using an internet connection. Before moving your serial number to another computer, you will need to deactivate it form the first computer. We strongly advise ordering the dongle option in cases of a critical use of the software, for example, if you need to move your license frequently from one computer to another, OR if you want to quickly move the license from the main computer to the backup in case of a hardware malfunction.
For more information on the activaton/deactivation process or the dongles, you should have a look at the document Application Licensing Explained" available from the Support > Download Document page of the Softron website.
